Over a million people affected, 99 people died and over 4000 people were in shelters
Deployment contributed to direct patient care along with assessing the medical need after the disaster by working with on-site agencies including the UNICEF and the Guatemalan ministry of health

IMGs for Texas worked closely to partner with a non profit organization clinic foundation that serves the underserved in Houston to launch a clinical volunteering program to help the clinics see more patients, the IMGs to receive clinical experience and the patients of the community to have more access to care.
